Breitling partnered with luxury retailer Little Switzerland to host the Caribbean launch of its newest chronograph design, the Chronomat 01. The Chronomat 01 was unveiled at an exclusive, invitation-only event on Main Street in downtown Charlotte Amalie in front of the Breitling Boutique. A chronograph is a watch with both timekeeping and stopwatch functions. Breitling is synonymous with chronograph, and the Chronomat 01 redefines chronograph manufacturing. The Chronomat 01 is the first Breitling watch to house the Caliber 01, a chronograph movement developed and produced in Breitling’s own workshop. In 2009 Breitling entered the ranks of the rare timepiece manufacturers to have its own chronograph movement. Available in Steel and Rose Gold, the Chronomat 01 features a sapphire crystal caseback to showcase its precision movement.
