Flexibility my hole. The whole point of Vibram soles are to prevent movement and give grip. They dont give a natural feel in my opinion. I’d much prefer a boot without a vibram sole.

I used this on the AT for the last 1200 miles. It was very sturdy & durable. The eyelets are strong. Ankle support is great. The rubber surround was great to have through all the bogs in NH & ME. I still have enough Vibram lug depth to probably go another 800 mi at least. Only thing I didn’t like about the boot is the insole size which is .2″ more narrow than a Brannock medium width. My big & pinky toes went numb, which was more annoying than perilous. I wish they had a wide size in this.
